You'll need to navigate yourself through some treacherous territory and perform some death defying balancing acts (and you certainly won't defy death every time). All around you during your island exploration you'll be presented with awesome scenery: sunsets, beautiful horizons, cool architecture, spooky crypts.you never get tired of looking at this game.
But it turns out that there are others looking for the treasure, You'll have to battle your way through obstacles, puzzles and worst of all pirates.hordes and hordes of pirates. My only gripe with the game are the redundant, battle after battle, run-ins that you have with pirates. Some you can blast right through, but others are pretty darn hard (one of the most frustrating you'll have is in a flooded castle basement), and you'll wonder if you're doing something wrong because you'll die so much before getting through.

This is an entertaining, action packed game that doesn't take itself too seriously-- it reminds me of a great Indiana Jones movie. I have watched my 12 year old son ( he's almost 13, and is quite mature) play this game, and it is like watching a movie! The character is quite likeable, and the concern that the charcaters feel for each other is believable. It's just fun! That said, the swearing is not what i would like my son to use -- but it comlpetely fits in with the story and the character's situation, and does not feel 'gratuitous' at all.
Drake and Elena are likable Oh how I hate this game. I've given it more than a fair try. I wanted to like it. When my friends said you've got to get the playstation 3 just for uncharted 2 alone I thought the first game must be great and I'm one of those people who can't just jump in mid series so the first game I got was this and my god does it suck. Firstly lets start with the good. Drake and Elena are likable characters and are the sole reason I wanted to see this game through.

Now, the platforming sections were actually fairly good though and fun. I wouldn't say the game was hard (I was on normal), but at times it just get fairly ridiculous and frustrating. At least to me this kind of game play is *really* boring. Of course you get great atmosphere and graphics. But, alas, those count for nothing when all you have to do is fight and fight and fight. It's atrociously paced, in-fact half-way through I switched from Normal to Easy mode in order to finish the game. Fighting the hoards of enemies with a few basic guns became frustrating. It's not until a bit past half-way through the game where the limited weapon options become upgraded.
